But maybe you shouldn't just call it a diet. That's too limited.

It's more than a diet. It's a whole new way of looking at things. You are going to change your body. And your life.

Is change hard for you? It can be difficult. You hope for something better.

And yet there is always that uncertainty about the future. What if it doesn't turn out like you are hoping? Will it be another disappointment?

But you need to start somewhere. So start close to home -- with yourself. See what you can achieve when you're able to change your mind.

You've had trouble with weight loss before. Diets that didn't work. That were too hard. That you couldn't stick with.

And the cravings. How can you diet when you can't get food out of your mind?

Are they helping you? Encouraging you? Are they working with you, doing the things that you need to do, every day, to make your life all you've hoped it would be?

Are they standing by you with encouragement as you work to get the body you want? Giving you dieting motivation?

Sabotage?

Or are they sabotaging you? Stopping you from being who you want to be?

If you've got people who are tearing you down rather than building you up, it's time to do something.

That's right -- out with the bad and in with the good. The bad guys got to go.

Learn what effects others can have on your emotions how they make you fail at weight loss.

Take care of yourself

And after you look at other people in your life, it's time to take a look at yourself. How do you treat yourself.

You know the idea about treating others the way you would like to be treated? Well, it goes for yourself too. You need to treat yourself the way you deserve to be treated.

Are you being good to yourself? Or are you a little bit mean -- a little critical?

If you are a bit too hard on yourself, it's time to stop. Why? Well, for one thing, it can harm your weight loss efforts. So with that in mind, here's a little weight loss motivation advice with that in mind.
