Fad Diets
You answered:
" I think that if I could find the right diet I would be able to lose weight."
" I usually try new diets that I see advertised or that sound good."
Here's what you should know:
Fad diets and the struggle to lose weightLosing weight has been a losing battle for you. You have a lot of trouble with your weight. You are very overweight. And nothing you do seems to help.
Diets don't work for you. You try new fad diets you hear about but they just don't work. Sometimes they're too hard to follow. They don't give you enough to eat. You end up hungry all the time. Sometimes they seem to start OK. You lose a lot of weight at first. But then the weight loss slows and then it doesn't seem to be worth it. It's too hard. And the cravings.
You get cravings
for foods that aren't on the diet. So you finally just give up.
It's not hopeless

Well,
here's some advice for you.
Don't give up. It's not impossible to lose weight. You CAN do it.Now, it's not going to be easy. Get over that idea once and for all. There are no pills or wraps or instant weight loss or any of that. You cannot "lose 12 pounds in 3 days without dieting" or whatever else the fad diet headline says. I don't want to sound too harsh, but this might be your only chance. So listen: You are too gullible. You believe nonsense that you hear because you would like it to be true. And you have a hard time facing the facts and facing what you actually have to do. And
you don't really know much about weight loss
despite all the diets you have tried.
Take these steps One,
stop listening to the TV.
Stop reading the magazines. Stop looking at the headlines. They're all full of nonsense and they're just trying to sell you something. And they're full of false information. Two, stop listening to people you know. I don't care whether it's your mother or your best friend or even your doctor. What they know about weight loss isn't worth knowing. One exception -- if they were very heavy, lost weight down to their goal weight and then kept it off for at least 5 years, then they know what to do. But those kind of people are very rare. Three, you've got to learn something about weight loss. Most of what you think you know is false. You don't even know the basics -- like
what's in the food you're eating.
Until you get this figured out you don't have the slightest chance to lose weight and keep it off.
My recommendations to youSo here's what I recommend: To start you ought to read every word of this website. It is carefully researched and carefully written. Most people just scan things on the internet. But that won't work for you. You need to read it all carefully. Read it 2, 3, even 4 times. If you do this eventually a light will come on in your head and you'll say, "OK! NOW I get it. NOW I understand." And then finally you'll see
what YOU need to do to lose weight.
And that will at least get you up to the starting line. The alternative? Keep on doing what you are doing. Follow the latest diet fad. And 5 years, 10 years from now you'll be right where you are today, or worse. It's up to you to decide.
