Weight Watchers Really Works!

The first time I decided to go to a Weight Watchers meeting, I bought a box of chocolate-covered Sara Lee cheesecake bites and I was stuffing my face with them on the car ride to the meeting. Needless to say, the diet didn't quite "stick" with me that time.

I decided to try again about a year later, when I weighed myself on my roommate's scale and was so shocked at the results that I went out and bought a brand new scale just to make sure that hers wasn't calibrated wrong or something!

This time, I didn't attend any WW meetings. I got on ebay and ordered all of the necessary booklets explaining the plans and the point converters and such. My mom also had some left over from when she did WW awhile back.

I got 'hard core' and started counting points. I started a "Couch to 5K" training program that I found on the internet, and I joined message boards at (not technically affiliated with WW, but everyone there is on the plan).

Before you know it, I had lost about 30 pounds. Even though I didn't go to the meetings, I "weighed in" weekly and posted it to the message boards for accountability.

The problem with most diets is that once you reach the goal, you kinda just stop doing it altogether.

I maintained my healthier lifestyle for awhile, but soon gained back about half of the weight that I had lost. Honestly, though, I am not disappointed in myself.

My weight has hovered within a 5 pound range ever since I stopped following WW to a "T." I feel like it's my body telling me that I went too low on the first go around.

As long as I stay in this 5 pound range, I am pleased with myself. If I see the numbers starting to climb, I will most certainly go back to the WW way of life!
