Weight Loss Solution -- The Real Reason That You Are Overweight

To solve any problem you first must isolate the cause of that problem. Sounds simple. But how does it apply to weight loss?

  • It starts by you answering one key question for yourself. And until you do that you are going to continue to have failure after failure losing weight.
  • This is probably the greatest secret in weight loss.
  • The question you need to answer is this: "What is the real reason I am overweight?"
  • You've probably wondered about this.
  • You may have said something like, "Why am I so fat? I don't eat that much." Most of us do at one time or another.
  • Well, there are actually answers to that question. And until you find the answer that is true for you in your own case, you will have a difficult, if not impossible, time losing the extra weight.

Who is responsible for the shape you are in?

Now, you might need to swallow hard and brace up for this one. The simple answer is: You are.

I hate to have to bring this up. But until you see this it will be hard for you to lose the weight that you need to lose.

Now, there are ways to look at responsibility. Some people think responsibility but they substitute blame.

Well, this is not a matter of blaming anyone. It is just a simple, unemotional, straght-ahead look at the situation.

Someone has made the decisions in your life that have gotten you to where you are. The good things that you have done and accomplished were because you did them. And the other things, the ones that were not so good, were accomplished by you as well. It goes both ways.

Are you using false solutions?

So, this idea that you are the one that got you into the shape that you are in might be a little discouraging to think about, until you realize one thing: And that is that since you are the one that got you into it, you can also get yourself out of it.

And until you see clearly see this, you will continue to look for:

  • the magic button,
  • the quick fix,
  • the pill that will take care of all your problems,
  • and the surgery that will fix everything.

See, those are false solutions. You wouldn't be looking for false solutions if you were really facing the problem.

Why are you overweight?

If you are over your ideal weight and unhappy about it, it is because:

  • you didn't know what you needed to do to stay lean,
  • you didn't eat what you needed to eat to be strong and healthy,
  • you didn't take good enough care of your body,
  • and you didn't get the activity that your body really needs.

Until you see this you won't be able to get control. You'll keep looking for the magic.

There is no magic button

But you know what? That is not going to happen. There is no magic formula. There is no miracle obesity solution.

There is no way for you to lose weight and keep it off, and be healthy, without you doing the work.

The only one that can solve it for you is you. That's just the way it is.

  • It is not your genes.
  • It is not your parents.
  • It is not your glands.
  • It is because of the choices that you have made.
  • And it is the choices that you are continuing to make.

Don't blame yourself

Now, you shouldn't blame yourself. There is no blame here. It is just a simple statement of the truth. Knowing the truth and blaming yourself for it are two different things.

Blaming yourself is just a kind of self-hate. And where does that get you? Nowhere. You need to be kind to yourself. You are probably too hard on yourself already.

But when you know the truth and face the truth that is another thing entirely. Because it opens up the door to a real solution, so you can finally solve the problem of your weight.

So what's the solution?

First you say, "this is the shape I have gotten myself into, and now I am going to take responsibility for myself."

And when you do that you can take whatever action is needed and get results.

This is an opportunity to look at the problem directly and see what you have to do to solve it.

Figure out where you are now. See how you got there. And then to figure out what you need to do to make things better.

What could be more hopeful than that?
