Nothing Works

  • I guess there's nothing more to be said. And nothing more to do.


So we just say goodbye here...

Except for one thing.

You haven't really given up.

You're still here. You're still reading this.

No matter how hard it's been. No matter how hopeless it's seemed at times. Even though nothing works. You're still here.

There's still that slight glimmer. That bit of hope. The idea that maybe, just maybe, something could help.

You haven't given up.

There is hope

And I haven't given up on you either.

You know why I haven't given up? Because I think there is hope for you.

No, let me change that. I KNOW there is hope for you.

Real help

Now listen. I actually know how hard it is to lose weight. I've been there. I was heavy growing up and I had to lose weight.

I lost it and gained it back. It took me a long time to figure out what works.

But now I know. So what do I do now? I help other people lose weight. I do that through my web site and my writing.

I will never tell you there's an easy way for you to lose weight. Because there isn't.

Most of what you read about weight loss is wrong. Sometimes they don't know any better. Sometimes they lie.

Mental before physical

So here is the truth about weight loss.

Even when you're sure that nothing works, there are simple truths that will start you on the road.

First, you must know that weight loss is mental before it is physical.

It all begins with what you know about weight loss. What you know -- not what you do. What you do comes later.

Six Key Steps:

  1. It is possible for you to lose weight.
  2. To lose weight you have to know what actually works.
  3. Of the things that actually work, you have to find those things that you can do.
  4. You have to work with your body, not against it.
  5. Accept that progress will come over time. You cannot remove the time factor or you will fail.
  6. There are ups and downs, but it is the trend that is important.

Not diets or exercise

Now, notice this. These steps are not physical things. These are not "diets" or "exercise."

These are all what you could call viewpoints. They are how you look at things.

They are in order 1-6. You have to do the first one before you do the second one.

It's this simple: You first have to understand these truths about weight loss. Then you can succeed.

Step by step

Take number one: It is possible for you to lose weight.

Do you know it's true? You say yes. Are you sure? Then go to the second one.

But what if you are not sure? Until you know this...

Until you really know that "It is possible for you to lose weight" you can't go on.

Anything else you do will fail.

In this too, the truth will set you free

But what if you don't believe it? What if you can't believe it? Then what?

When you educate yourself you will see it is true. Eventually, you will see the truth.

Educate yourself? Yes. You can start by reading parts of this website. Pay attention to the section on "Motivation." And on "The best plan." Read "Setting goals."

Actually, the entire site is designed with you in mind. It is all to help you understand and realize the Six Key Steps. And then to show you what to do next.

Start your weight loss day everyday reading one of the articles. Lots of people read 15-30 minutes every day. It's a great way to keep you on track.

The faster way

An easier and faster way is to get my book Dr. Dan's Super Weight Loss Plan. It's got a lot of information that's not on the website.

What happens when you read the book? People that read my book say the same thing: They say that when they read the book a light comes on. It suddenly clicks. Now they know.

And then they can lose weight when they couldn't before.

Keep at it -- it does work

So that's what you do. Get Step 1 down -- so you really know it's true. Then get Step 2 down. Whatever it takes to do it is worth it.

Then Step 3. And so on.

What to do after these 6 steps? Just details. When you get to that point you'll know what to do next. If not then you've missed one of the steps somewhere.
